NEW DELHI: Chinese handset maker Vivo has launched two top-end smartphones, namely X6 and X6 Plus, in its home market.

The all-new Vivo X6 has a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED panel and is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6752 chipset and 4GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage and microSD card support for storage expansion.
On the back of the Vivo X6 is a 13MP camera, whereas an 8MP camera is in front. This dual-sim 4G-capable smartphone has a 2,400mAh battery, weighs 135 gram and measures 6.6mm in thickness.
Vivo X6 Plus, on the other hand, has a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display and runs on the same processor; 4GB of RAM is common here as well. Onboard storage here is 64GB, with provision for a microSD card for storage expansion. The resolution of the front and rear cameras of Vivo X6 Plus is 13MP and 8MP, respectively.
The X6 Plus also supports dual-sim functionality and is 4G enabled; its battery capacity is 3,000mAh. For enhanced audio, the smartphone has ES9028 and Yamaha YSS-205X Hi-Fi Audio.
Both smartphones run on Vivo’s Funtouch OS, based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and sport an aluminium-magnesium alloy. On the back of both X6 and X6 Plus are fingerprint sensors that can unlock the device in 0.4 seconds.
Vivo said both smartphones will be released on December 7 in China and will be available in silver, rose and gold colours. X6 has been priced at 2,600 yuan off-contract or 2,500 yuan on a China Unicom contract. Similarly, X6 Plus costs 3,200 yuan unlocked and 3,000 yuan on China Unicom contract.
